Finally some new rims!
After getting my car with 14" rims and then going through some trials and errors with making a set of 17" rims fit I am very happy with my purchase of my 15" rims from Summit.
I ended up selecting a rim that is a knock off of the American Racing Torque Thrust rims. I really like those and they fit the car character just right. The problem is this is a 'budget' car so I had to find a budget way to get the look I wanted. I first started with used but I ran into two problems with this.
1. Everyone thinks that their used rims are worth what new rims are worth.
2. After my fit issues with the 17" rims I wanted these to fit RIGHT!
So first things first. A very good fit for a 15" rim is a 15x7 rim with 4.25" back spacing. This is the same size as the magnum rims and the gt/rally rims that can be purchased at any mustang vendor shop. With this information in hand I went on a search for a rim with these specs.
Summit racing had one that I liked and it is a good price. Add my lucky timing, they were on sale when I bought them. The Summit Racing® Legend 5 Series Gunmetal Wheels fit the bill just right. They come with center caps and the sale price of $115 each plus the cost of a new set of lug nuts was about all I could spend.

~The 2nd hardest decision to make for your car is the rim you put on it.
I selected some BFG Goodrich tires. This is the 2nd part of a rims choice. What tires. I wanted the biggest piece of tire under the car I could fit. I bought the tires at my local tire shop and they included a free alignment. Since I had struggled with my own alignment I though I could kill two birds with one stone. They were very good with my car and other than the balance I had no issues. There will be another page for that later.
In the back I am running 225/60R15 and on the front 205/60R15. They fit great with no rubbing at all. This was a 'must' when I started this project. When I am spending this kind of money I want it right.
With my stripes I figured having the white lettering out would compliment the car. I am very happy with the look. Enjoy!
Cost= about $900 and worth every penny.
