Can these be saved?
My door sills like my carpet have to be original and look like it. They are in pretty rough shape. Some areas of them are missing and just look horrible. I spent some time trying to clean them up but either I don't have the know how or they won't ever look good again. Then I was doing another project that involved paint and I got this idea. What the heck right?
Spray Paint
I simply cleaned them up with a coarse brush and hit them with 2 shots of primer and 2 shots of black paint. So far it looks OK.
No sure I like it
I installed these right when I finished my carpet. I think they look OK. Certainly better than how they looked before. I am not completely sure I like them.
Would you notice them?
I wonder how many folks will notice this change. They look good with the new black carpet. I will leave them for a while.

I did pick up a used set in good shape in case I decide I don't like the black ones.
